It was a Saturday night, and the Internet was buzzing with news of the Xbox Live gold account suspension.
Some people had received emails and text messages about the account being suspended.
Others, however, were not so sure.
Some people, like the former Microsoft employee who posted the suspension on the Microsoft Community forums, didn’t understand why the account had been suspended.
Some others, like our very own Geoff Miller, had the same question.
It all started with the message:Dear Xbox LiveGold users,Thank you for your interest in Microsoft Xbox Live.
As we know, the service has experienced some issues in recent months.
As a result, we’ve temporarily disabled your account.
The suspension is in place until we have a resolution to these issues.
We appreciate your understanding as we work to resolve this issue.
Thanks for your understanding.
As Microsoft’s Community Manager for Xbox Live, I can confirm that a recent issue has impacted the ability to access your Xbox Live account and to play Xbox Live content.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
