When you put the heavy metal on, you’re like, “Wow, this is so heavy”
The heaviest metal band saw a dramatic decline in popularity in the 1970s.
It became a genre of heavy metal, a genre defined by heavy drums, heavy guitars, heavy vocals, and heavy drumming.
But the genre has seen a revival in recent years, with bands like the Foo Fighters, Iron Maiden, Metallica, and Death Grips releasing albums that are more reflective of the genre.
The metal band sees the metal bands popularity rise and fall, but the heavy rock genre is slowly recovering.
That means metalheads are finding themselves in the same place that they were in when the metal community began: the rock music industry.
“You’re like a rock star,” said Matt Smith, who was in high school when he first heard metal.
“The music industry, you can have your favorite band, and people will be like, ‘Oh, that’s good for the metal industry.'”
Metalhead Adam Tatum says he doesn’t think the metal scene has really changed since he first started hearing it in the early 1980s.
“When I first started listening to it, it was a little more serious, and I was like, Oh, that is what I should be doing, right?” said Tatum.
“But I guess the thing about metal is that it’s not really about what you think it’s about.”
Smith said he believes that the metal music industry is becoming more relevant to younger audiences.
“I think it is,” he said.
“There’s a lot of people listening to metal music.
It’s not just a bunch of kids, it’s like an audience.”
In 2016, the United States recorded nearly 6,000 metal concerts, according to the Associated Press.
And while metal fans aren’t necessarily turning out in droves these days, they’re still a very large and vocal group.
“It’s not like you’re not going to see a lot,” Smith said.
“We’re just a bit more vocal and a little less polite now.”
Smith and Tatum, along with fellow metal fans, say they’ve noticed a shift in the metal culture in the last couple of years.
“People are starting to realize that metal is a really important genre that is really worth hearing,” Tatum said.
In 2018, the Associated Journal of Medicine estimated that the death toll from metal was about 3,000 per year, and that the industry contributes $60 billion to the U.S. economy.
Smith, a musician and musician in the hardcore metal scene, said that the more metal bands that have come out in the past few years, the more they’re gaining traction.
“Metal bands are the most successful ones because people really care about it, because they’re the ones that will be paying attention,” he explained.
“If you go out to see the Foo Fighter, or any band, they will be a massive part of the music that people are going to listen to.”
There’s just this huge sense of community, of camaraderie, and of something that’s really, really good.
